The bulk of the University's long-term funds, except for bond sinking funds, charitable remainder trusts and some unexpended plant funds, are invested in the University's Growth Pool. The Growth Pool is a balanced portfolio comprised of equities, bonds, and cash equivalents, with asset allocation as provided by the University's Long-Term Growth Pool Statement of Investment Policies and Objectives, adopted by the Board of Trustees. Investing for the Growth Pool is done by outside investment managers and also through mutual funds and partnerships. It is University policy to invest all endowment funds and charitable gift annuities in the Growth Pool.
Investment of the University's bond sinking funds is the responsibility of the bond trustee, Bank of New York Mellon, which is also the administrator of the University's charitable remainder trusts, including the investment of these funds.
