The Compliance and Accounting area of the Controller’s Office primary responsibilities is to uphold the integrity of the general ledger by ensuring compliance with accounting standards and university policy.

Included in our area are the following responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with the University policies and procedures.
  • Establish and communicate policies and procedure necessary to ensure the proper and efficient use of University resources.
  • Perform financial compliance reviews for departmental spending of restricted funds.
  • Provide various types of training to numerous units throughout the University.
  • Assist units with complex accounting transactions and operational needs.
